HEATHENS SNAP UP TEEN ACE KEMP

YOUNG gun Drew Kemp has become Cradley’s second signing for their 2018 National Trophy campaign.

Kemp, 15, is being tipped for big things as he prepares for his first full season of senior racing after an excellent junior career.

He joins the experienced Adam Roynon in the Heathens’ line-up as they aim for National Trophy glory for the first time.

And Kemp says riding for the famous Dudley Wood outfit will be a big boost to his development.

“I feel like it will help me as a rider,” Kemp said. “At this stage of my career I learn every time I’m on the bike and it’s a good chance to get some more racing.

“It’s great to ride for a big club like Cradley. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them and I hope we can do well.”

Cradley would like to thank Kemp’s National League club Mildenhall for their co-operation in allowing the deal to be completed.

Co-promoter Gary Patchett said: “We have a lot of options for the team but we wanted to have one of the talented youngsters at reserve and Drew fits the bill.

“Because of the position we are in we are having to rely on some goodwill from clubs and we thank Mildenhall for helping us reach this conclusion with Drew.

“More rider news will follow soon and we are all very excited by the way the team is coming together.”
