CRADLEY have completed their 2017 side with the signing of young gun Luke Harris.

Harris, 18, rode for the Heathens in 2015 and will now return to the club as part of a revamped side for next season.

The talented teenager joins on a 3.95 average and will start the season in the main body of the side.

Harris returns to the West Midlands after a successful spell with Eastbourne in 2016 – and co-promoter Gary Patchett believes he has “unfinished business” in green, red and white.

“It would be fair to say Luke has some unfinished business as a Heathen,” Patchett said.

“He's had two years of experience now in the National League and was unlucky to be in and out of the Eagles team at the end of last season as they sought to give track time to Tom Brennan.

“Having to start in the top 5 will be a challenge but it's one Luke is ready to accept and is certainly up to.

“We're delighted to welcome him back and in announcing the full team as early as this we can now fully focus on the build up to the new season.”

Meanwhile, Harris is delighted to be back with the Heathens and is keen to hit the ground running when the campaign gets underway.

“I’m really pleased to get a chance to go back to Cradley,” Harris added. “Even though it was a difficult season I enjoyed my time there in 2015.

“I just want to build on last season and make sure I do much better for the Heathens this time around.

“I’m already excited for the season, so I’ll just try and get off to a good start and keep my momentum going from last year.”
