CRADLEY have announced former title winner Dan Greenwood as their fourth signing for next season.

The Derbyshire racer first joined the Heathens in 2012 and was a key part of the side who lifted the club's first League Championship in 30 years in 2013.

After a couple of years with the Coventry Storm, Greenwood now rejoins the Heathens and is confident of building on his bargain 6.82 starting average and regaining the form that has seen him race as a consistent third tier No.1.

Said Greenwood: "I'm really happy to be back with the club and I'm really looking forward to next year.

"2013 was a great season with some good memories and hopefully 2017 will be the same.

"2016 was a tough year for me; it was very stop start but I'm only looking forwards now and I'm determined to have a good season with Cradley.

"I'm feeling up for the fresh challenge and I feel rejuvenated. We've got a really good team on paper so far and we're all confident that we can be serious challengers for the title again."

Heathens team manager Will Pottinger said: "Dan knows the club and we know Dan very well so this is a very good move for all parties.

"He should prove to be a real steal on the average he comes in on and we all know that he is capable of so much at this level.

"Dan is a great addition to the side and we couldn't be happier with the four signings that we've made so far."

THERE will be a second season ticket sales night after record numbers at Cradley Heath Liberal Club.

Heathens will host the evening next Thursday, December 22, again at the Liberal Club, from 7.30.
